Russian Forces Intensify Strikes Against Ukrainian Military
In a significant escalation of military activity, Russian forces have targeted over 160 locations where Ukrainian troops and equipment are concentrated, according to a statement from Russia's Defense Ministry. The report details that the operations, conducted using a mix of aircraft, drones, and artillery, have resulted in substantial Ukrainian casualties and damage to military resources.
In the past 24 hours, the Russian military claims to have inflicted approximately 1,500 casualties on Ukrainian forces across various frontlines. Specific figures indicate that Russia's Battlegroup North was responsible for around 45 casualties in the Kharkov area, while Battlegroup West accounted for approximately 480 casualties.
Further actions by Battlegroup South reportedly led to the loss of 245 Ukrainian personnel, alongside the destruction of three armored combat vehicles. This battlegroup has been active in regions including Belogorovka and Vasyukovka, where they have also engaged in repelling enemy counterattacks.
In the Donetsk People's Republic, Battlegroup Center reportedly inflicted significant damage, with approximately 510 casualties and the destruction of five enemy armored vehicles. This group has engaged in active defense against multiple counterattacks by Ukrainian forces.
Battlegroup East has also contributed to the overall casualty figures, with more than 155 reported losses in engagements near settlements such as Bogatyr and Konstantinopol. In addition to personnel losses, various military assets, including tanks and artillery systems, have been reported destroyed.
Russia's Battlegroup Dnepr has reported around 45 casualties among Ukrainian forces, focusing on operations in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. These units have targeted enemy infrastructure, resulting in further losses and the destruction of military resources.
In terms of air defense capabilities, Russian forces have claimed to have successfully intercepted 71 Ukrainian drones and 14 HIMARS rockets over the same period. These operations highlight the ongoing intensity of the conflict and the extensive use of unmanned aerial vehicles by Ukrainian forces.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the military operation, more than 30,000 units of Ukrainian military vehicles have been destroyed, alongside significant losses in aircraft, helicopters, and artillery systems. The scale of these reported losses underscores the protracted and devastating nature of the ongoing conflict.
