Donald Trump Appoints Tammy Bruce as State Department Spokesperson

Sat 4th Jan, 2025

In a recent announcement on his social media platform, Donald Trump, the President-elect of the United States, has appointed Tammy Bruce as the spokesperson for the State Department. Bruce, a political analyst and former anchor at Fox News, will assume the role as part of Trump's incoming administration under Secretary of State nominee Marco Rubio.

Trump expressed his enthusiasm for Bruce's appointment, highlighting her experience as a well-respected political commentator who has consistently championed conservative values. He noted her early recognition of the significance of the 'Make America Great Again' movement and her strong criticism of leftist ideologies.

Bruce, 62, has been a prominent voice in conservative media since joining Fox News in 2005. She previously hosted a program on Fox Nation, called Get Tammy Bruce, further solidifying her status as a significant political figure. Initially a Democrat, Bruce changed her affiliation to unaffiliated in 2008 and has since utilized her background as a community organizer to challenge what she perceives as the left's agenda.

In addition to her media career, Bruce has been a vocal feminist and previously led the Los Angeles chapter of the National Organization for Women. She is also a published author, with works such as The New American Revolution and Fear Itself: Exposing the Left's Mind-Killing Agenda, where she critiques government practices that she believes manipulate public perception through fear.

As Trump prepares to take office on January 20, he has already disclosed numerous appointments for key positions within his administration. Unlike many other picks who may require Senate confirmation, Bruce's role as spokesperson will not necessitate such a process, allowing for a swift transition into her new duties.
