A U.S. citizen was taken into custody in Moscow after a dispute regarding the presidencies of Donald Trump and Joe Biden escalated into a public disturbance at a local cafe. The incident occurred on Sretenka Street in the heart of the Russian capital.

According to reports from the Russian Interior Ministry, the altercation took place on January 20, when authorities were alerted to a disturbance at the establishment. Preliminary information indicated that both the man and a woman accompanying him were intoxicated and causing a scene.

Upon arrival, law enforcement officers detained the pair for violating public order. Sources revealed that the detainee was identified as a U.S. citizen, and the argument stemmed from differing opinions on U.S. presidents. The American was reportedly advocating for Joe Biden, while his companion expressed support for Donald Trump.

Witnesses noted that the couple had been consuming alcohol for several hours and were engaged in a heated discussion about political preferences. The disagreement intensified, leading to disruptive behavior that resulted in damage to the cafe's property.

As the situation deteriorated, staff members attempted to mediate the conflict but were unsuccessful. There were also suggestions that the individuals might have been under the influence of drugs, although this has not been confirmed by authorities. Following the arrival of police and medical personnel, the detainees were taken to the toxicology department for further evaluation.

Local media reports have identified the individuals involved as 44-year-old John Jordan from the United States and 31-year-old Ruslana, a resident of Moscow. As investigations are ongoing, local authorities have refrained from releasing additional details regarding the incident.
