FSB Neutralizes Alleged Ukrainian Saboteur in Zaporozhye

The individual, whose identity has not been disclosed, barricaded himself inside a residential building as agents moved in for the arrest. The standoff culminated in a firefight, resulting in the death of the operative. During the incident, it was reported that he detonated a hand grenade, which caused considerable damage to the structure.
Following the confrontation, FSB officials stated that a handgun, an improvised explosive device (IED), and remnants of the grenade were recovered from the scene. The weapon found, a Makarov pistol, was noted to have a threaded barrel, indicating it could potentially accommodate a suppressor.

The operation involved a plan to kill a notable military blogger and a senior Russian officer using an IED disguised as a portable music speaker, filled with ball bearings to increase its lethality. This plot was also linked to the GUR, with a suspect apprehended by the FSB before the device could be activated.
